Virgil Abloh and Jordan Brand‘s Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” has finally received a set of official images — a standard indication of a forthcoming retail release. A stripped-back take on the OG Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red,” Abloh’s latest collaborative project is both past and future, combining aged patinas and classic colors with new-wave technical materials.Uppers are built almost entirely of a thin TPE. Along with the AJ5’s signature midfoot netting and large eyestays, this semi-translucent synthetic is given an aged yellow finish, one that’s similar in color — if not material — to Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 1 collaboration from 2018. Signature “23” and “Nike Air” hits are visible on the heel, while the tongue retains its original metallic silver shade, embroidered red Jumpman graphic and lace toggle.

The men’s shoe comes through sporting a gleaming white mesh upper and transitions the contrasting stripes from blue to “Solar Red” colour, accompanied by a matching gradient sole.

Jordan Brand‘s Delta Breathe – a stripped-down take on the Jordan Delta — has released in a new multicolor style. Officially dubbed “Clear/White/Dark Concord/Black,” the design uses semi-translucent materials to provide an artfully-layered look, and adds bright colors for multiple pops of vibrance.Where standard Deltas are usually built from meshes, synthetics and textiles, the Breathe opts instead for an upper that’s made almost entirely of TPE — save for a leather heel piece and reinforced mesh on the forefoot. This sometimes translucent, sometimes opaque material is colorless by nature, but here it’s embellished with purple and teal on the toebox, black, teal and pink on the aforementioned forefoot overlay, teal on the tongue, navy around the collar and red on the heel. Seams are mostly done up in icy white.There’s also plenty of technical details to be had as well, like an interesting outlined midfoot Swoosh that passes through a yellow piece below the collar before switching its build to solid black suede. The soft heel offers repeating Jumpman print, eyestays present text graphics and the throat/tongue supplies a black fabric lacing system plus an altered take on the Jumpman’s signature ball-and-wings logo.
