Much like sacai’s previous Nike collaborations, the Vaporwaffle features a double-everything approach.The Chitose Abe-helmed brand has turned things up a notch for FW20, though, as the outsole appears to be slightly skewed at the toe tip. A rather hefty midsole looks to split at the heel, sneaker a deconstructed aesthetic as well.
Air Max 270 new silhouette is reportedly less than a month away from its official debut, with four colorways making up its initial launch lineup. Initially dubbed the Pegasus Vaporfly, the silhouette is a hybrid mash-up of two heritage Nike running silhouettes, this time combining the Vaporfly with the old school waffle-sole of the ’80s Pegasus. Those include “Sesame/Blue Void-White,” “White/Sail-Sail,” “Black/Off-Noir-Off-Noir” and a Lakers-like “Dark Iris/Campfire Orange-White” colorway. No leaked photos have surfaced, but each Nike VaporWaffle will come constructed in a mix of mesh and suede paired with dual branding on the tongues, side Swooshes, and heels along with intertwined laces. A layered sole atop a waffle rubber outsole completes the design.
