Repair RTJ grooves using a portable flange facing machine
At the beginning of 2023, our on-site service team went to the chemical plant, Hubei, China. to repair the RTJ grooves on the high-pressure vessels. First, weld to fill in the larger defects, and then use portable flange facing machine to recut the surfaces. Three pieces of CLASS-1500 flange were repaired within 4 days, and passed the qualification inspection at one time. Our unique measuring and inspection tools can ensure accurate measurement of RTJ groove without dismantling the machines.
