Athletes, athletes and friends of the top Olympic sand sport will have the opportunity to experience a great open beach volleyball festival at the 1st beach volleyball festival that will be organized at the impressive Karteros Beach Sports Center in Crete.
On the occasion of the creation of the leading facility for coastal sports, which was inaugurated on Monday, June 13 by the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, the first major beach volleyball event in Crete will be organized.
The opening service will take place on Thursday 30 June and the culmination will be on Sunday 3 July. This is the 1st beach volleyball festival that will be co-organized by APS Pegasus Heraklion, the Hellenic Volleyball Federation, EAKI and the Coastal Mediterranean Games Heraklion 2023 under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports.
The event will have the opportunity to participate in leading teams of men, women competing in the national circuit, but also amateur participation in all categories and mini categories, Under 17 Girls, Boys, Under 19 Girls, Boys and Amateur Men, Women .
There will be a token amount of participation and the proceeds will be donated to charity.
The person in charge of the tournament and the soul of the 1st beach volleyball festival is a glory of Greek volleyball, Giouli Paraskaki who together with the collaborators of Aphrodite Maniou, Stefanos Papadakis and the support of the co-organizers will inaugurate the Karteros Beach Sports Center.
"We are very lucky that this state-of-the-art facility was built very close to our city. It is a jewel for Greek sports and especially for Crete and we want to honor it with a big and special beach volleyball celebration. We thank the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis who implemented "The creation of the beautiful facility in combination with the great dynamics that our club APS Pegasus has acquired in Heraklion, Crete, pushed us to the decision to organize this beach volleyball festival", said Giouli Paraskaki and He added: "We want it to be an open celebration for everyone and for this and we have all the categories. We are open even to hosting teams that want to play from all over Greece and especially from the island of Greece where the athletes They do not have many opportunities to compete in tournaments. We are waiting for them all. We aspire to establish this celebration as a top the encounter of our sport. We are waiting for entries, there will be prizes while any income we will have from the symbolic entries will be donated to charity ".
