If you are a skincare addict you are very much my friend. My obsession with grooming is proverbial and my goal in this life is to make all girls love and take good care of their skin.

That's why today I decided to raise an issue that we have not discussed again, here in the beauty department: The ice globes, these glass balls, with the long handle, which you see everywhere

They are used every morning because they transform you from a little Pillsbury human (swelling), into a normal human being. So they explode and this happens because they are used frozen but let's start from the beginning.

What do ice globes do?
First let's say they are used frozen. Mine are permanently in the fridge. So they are icy tools that, when they slide on the face, can reduce (disappear I dare say) the swelling under the eyes and all over the face.

They also help drain the lymph, reduce redness and irritation, significantly improve the appearance of pores and activate the microcirculation of blood, which in turn will make the skin glow.

In short, it is exactly what your skin needs the morning you wake up. Apart from the multiple benefits, however, ice globes are also a uniquely enjoyable experience and you will understand it if you use them.

What are they made of?
Good ice globes are made of high quality glass and contain a special liquid that stays frozen for longer than water.

Very good ice globes can withstand even freezing but CAUTION! Do not try to put what you bought in the freezer, unless you are 100% sure that they are suitable, ie that they contain antifreeze. If they do not meet these criteria, the liquid will freeze and break.

How do you use them?
They are used in combination with your products. With your favorite serum, with eye cream or just with your cream. It is necessary to put a product on your face before starting the massage with ice globes, otherwise they will not slip.

For lifting massage: Take your icy globes and, after applying your serum (if it is a tightening serum even better) start from the base of your neck and make upward, circular movements upwards, pressing lightly. In the following video you will see what you have to do…

The goal is to straighten, so you have to go against gravity, facing the front. When you reach the eye area, make gentle movements from the inner corner of the eye to the outside.

Pay special attention to your chin and cheeks. Having your nose as a "starting point", make diagonal movements towards the cheekbones. Then, starting from the middle of your chin, make diagonal movements towards your temples.

It is good to repeat your movements at least 10 times each or, alternatively, to spend half a minute on each part of the face. Finally, remember, this is the perfect massage for the morning. See below what it can do for swollen eyes…

Extra tip! Hold your Globes upright, with the handle facing up and the ball down. So it will always be full of icy liquid.
For lymphatic massage: I have explained to you how to do it with your hands and with your face roller. The ice globes, however, take off the process AND the result.

Remember what we have said: Lymphatic massage decongests the… lymph, the "drainage system" of the body. Thus, the swelling is reduced, the toxins are removed, and more blood and oxygen reaches the skin. Perfection. Below you will see how the lymphatic massage is done.

Lymphatic massage starts from the center of the face facing outwards and "draining" downwards. However, when using ice globes, it is better to adapt the massage to the needs of your skin.

If you have dry skin, start with circular motions from the base of the neck upwards. At the end of your massage, push me down.
If you have oily skin, your movements must necessarily end in a downward direction and reach the bones of the décolleté.

If you are concerned about wrinkles and freckles, your movements should be back and forth to "wake up" the area. Yes, and they will end up going downhill.

Whatever your need, you need to massage your neck, face, cheeks, eyes and forehead. The lymph crosses your whole body, and your face.

Finally, remember that lymphatic massage is ideal for your evening treatment.

Where will you find ice globes?
It is not difficult and with a little online search you will discover e-shops that have many options.
