Many companies build autonomous flying vehicles that will act as taxis. Several models of such vehicles have been presented and some have successfully passed the testing phase, now waiting to obtain the necessary registration permits to start their routes. Dubai seems to be the first city to launch such vehicles.

New York-based company Kelekona has announced that it will build the first autonomous flying vehicle to operate as a bus. The drone will belong to the eVTOL category, ie it will be an electric vehicle for vertical take-off / landing. It will be able to carry 40 passengers and according to the company will be ready to start services in 2023.

In fact, the first route has been determined from Manhattan to the Hamptons, the popular resort located 80 km from New York on Long Island. The next route will be Los Angeles - San Francisco while the company is also planning a London-Paris route.

The drone has an innovative design with a "body" full of curves that in some parts is more rounded and in some more conical. At the four corners are the eight driving units of the vehicle. Its design combined with its propulsion system allows it to easily and "painlessly" change direction for passengers if necessary. According to the company, this vehicle can be used for medical purposes, for example, as an ambulance, while it can also be used for military missions.
