ASUS unveiled a trio of new ProArt laptops at the Computex expo in Taipei this week. These devices are generally more compact, lighter, and portable than their predecessors, marking a significant evolution in design. Let's delve into the details.
The ProArt 16, a slimmer and lighter iteration of the beloved ProArt Studiobook, boasts a design inspired by the ROG G16 chassis, albeit with key differences. It features a 4K 60Hz display and a virtual dialpad, replacing the physical knob on the Studiobook, and is finished with a nano black coating reputed to resist fingerprints.
In terms of specifications, it is powered by AMD's latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor capable of delivering 50 TOPS of NPU performance. Complementing this is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, achieving a combined 321 TOPS score. NVIDIA touts it as "the first AI PC of its kind designed for advanced AI workflows in creativity, gaming, productivity, and beyond."
The model includes a 16-inch 4K OLED screen and offers configurations with up to 64GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD storage. It is also classified as a Copilot+ PC, featuring a dedicated button to activate Microsoft’s digital assistant, alongside other AI-centric features such as ASUS's StoryCube file management software.
The ProArt PX13 stands out as a distinct model. This 2-in-1 hybrid, sharing the same chassis as the ROG Flow X13, also houses the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and supports up to an Nvidia GeForce 4060 GPU. It boasts a 2.8K OLED touchscreen that accommodates HDR content and has been streamlined to weigh a mere three pounds.
Lastly, the ProArt PZ13 is an ultra-portable convertible tablet with a detachable keyboard, reminiscent of the Microsoft Surface Pro series. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Plus processor, featuring a dedicated AI engine and a Copilot key to leverage the latest advancements in AI technology.
