The Air Jordan 3 Georgetown — often referred to as the “Midnight Navy” by some — is releasing this Saturday, putting the brand’s Spring line-up back on track. Offered in full family sizes, the colorway pays homage to the university of the same name. In color, the uppers sport the signature dark blues, using them throughout the construction’s premium tumbled leather. Greys complete the connection elsewhere, contrasting against the perforated panels at the eye stay and collar, the smoother finishes at the tongue, and the cement print found along the tongue/heel. The only thing missing is any overt insignia, a touch likely reserved for the school’s future PEs.

There’s a clear modernized effort with the floating eye-stays, heel pull-tabs, and stacked tongue, but the clear visual champion is the midsole design. The Air unit is entirely cored out, separating the cushion from surrounding TPU. The wider sole and scooping heel also allows for steady foot-planting that allows for maximum coverage of the Air unit.
