To get an International Driving License (also called an International Driving Permit), you must already have a valid driver’s license from your home country. Apply through the authorized automobile association or transport authority in your country, either online or in person. You’ll usually need a completed application form, passport-sized photos, a copy of your valid license, and a small fee. Once approved, the permit is issued quickly sometimes the same day. You must carry it together with your original driving license when driving abroad.
