The origins of the cleaver knife date back thousands of years. Early iterations can be traced to ancient China, where cooks and butchers alike used hefty blades to process whole animals. In fact, the Chinese cleaver, known as a "chukabock" or "Chinese chef’s knife," evolved into a multi-purpose kitchen tool, capable of slicing, dicing, mincing, and crushing ingredients.
