Section 80g of the income tax act allows donors to claim tax deductions on contributions made to ngos with a valid 80g registration. Like, it strengthens donor confidence and encourages philanthropy by making donation taxation more efficient. Like ngos must apply to the income tax department maintain transparency and renew them regularly to retain 80g benefits.
