Abu Dhabi is set to implement major changes to its DARB road toll system starting September 1, 2025, by completely removing the daily and monthly caps on toll charges for private vehicles. Under the previous system, motorists paid a maximum of AED16 per day, and monthly limits were set at AED200 for the first vehicle, AED150 for the second, and AED100 for third and subsequent vehicles. With these caps being eliminated, there will no longer be a maximum limit on the toll charges collected per vehicle each day or month.
