Recently, the American company iRobot had introduced a robotic vacuum cleaner that incorporates artificial intelligence technology and has a number of impressive cleaning capabilities. The company announced that it has created a new application that upgrades the capabilities of the broom. The application is designed with the mind in the Christmas period but can of course be used later for similar occasions by the occupants of a house.
The Roomba j7 Robot Vacuum (which also has an additional model the Roomba j7 +) can map each room and learn literally every "corner" and detail (eg furniture location, etc.) to clean it more efficiently. The broom may realize that it needs more cleaning and pay more attention there, for example around the kitchen or dining table.
The holder of the broom can also supply it with data so that it pays attention to cleaning wherever it wishes. The broom can also avoid cables in which other robotic brooms are blocked and stopped. It can also avoid the dirt that the pet of a house has left in some place so that it does not get dirty and does not transfer them to the rest of the house.
The application developed by the manufacturer has the option of "clean zone" as it is called. This option allows the broom holder to indicate some areas which he will avoid approaching not only to clean them but also to move there. This will protect the area around the Christmas tree where various items such as ornaments, gifts, etc. are usually placed.
The owner of the broom will determine the area he wants the broom not to approach not only for cleaning but also not to move things when passing through it. Of course, this possibility can be used in other circumstances and in any part of the house for some reason the resident wants the broom not to pass.
The new application also allows the broom to identify and (at the behest of the resident) to avoid various items such as socks, shoes which may "disappear" during its passage and then the occupant of the house seeks to find them.
The vacuum cleaner has a silent operation setting and can also be connected to the location detection application of its holder's mobile phone so that it knows where it is and cleans the house when it is out of the house and stops when it returns. The owner of the broom can also program it so that it automatically starts cleaning more often at specific times, such as during allergies (eg pollen) or when the pet is changing hair.
